What is KERS?
The acronym KERS stands for Kinetic Energy Recovery System. The device recovers the kinetic energy that is present in the waste heat created by the car’s braking process. It stores that energy and converts it into power that can be called upon to boost acceleration.

What Is DRS?
The DRS (Drag Reduction System) is a aerodynamic boost to the F1 car performance. The DRS is implemented through a driver Adjustable Rear Wing that permits temporary adjustment to the amount of downforce provided by one of the wings on the rear of the car. The DRS system reverts back to its normal position when the driver touches the brakes.
